Privacy Policy for Habit Streaks

The short version. Habit Streaks collects nothing, sends nothing and has no way to reach the internet. Every habit you create and every day you tick off stays on your device.

What the app collects

Nothing. The app does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal information. There is no account, no sign-in and no profile.

What the app stores, and where

The habits you type in, the emoji and colour you pick for each one, the weekdays they are due on, any note you add, and the dates you ticked them off are written to a single file in the app's own private storage on your device. No other app can read it, and it is never uploaded anywhere.

• You can delete everything at any time from Settings → Reset all data inside the app.
• Uninstalling the app removes the file with it.
• Cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are switched off for this app, so your habits are not copied into a backup either.

No internet access

The app does not request the INTERNET permission. Without it, Android will not let the app open a network connection at all, so there is no technical way for your habits to leave your phone. The app requests no runtime permissions of any kind: no notifications, no location, no camera, no contacts, no storage.

No third-party services

Habit Streaks contains no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no social or login SDKs. It does not use an advertising ID. The only code in the app besides its own is Google's Jetpack and Kotlin libraries, which run on your device and collect nothing.

Links that leave the app

The About screen has links to this policy, to the app's page on Google Play and to a share sheet. Choosing one hands the link to the app you pick, such as your browser; what happens next is covered by that app's own privacy policy, not this one. Nothing is sent unless you choose to share it.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, of any age.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
